MARKETING BRIGHT SPOTS IN 2009

We all know that times are tough. But it’s not all doom and gloom. The world of interactive marketing hasn’t been exempt from the effects of the recession, but it’s demonstrating a promising degree of resilience. Online video, mobile, and digital out-of-home are all expected to continue to grow in the coming year.

It isn’t surprising that these three areas have exhibited growth and promise. Advertisers can only get attention if they adapt to consumers lifestyles, which are evolving in tandem with the media they rely on. Other emerging areas this year include location-based advertising, in-game mobile advertising and mobile-video services.

All of this is good news in the world of interactive, as more and more budgets are moving over from traditional media. Thanks to Advertising Age for giving us some much needed optimism and forecasting a few bright spots for 2009.
